Fruits of a Paranoid Society By social consent normal was defined to which I was not a part. This club of normalcy was used against me wounding me with disillusionment and poverty. I was labeled a criminal of undefined felonies by people’s irrational fears and loathing. The fear of gay people, so immoral. The fear of impoverished people, so stupid. The fear of addicted people, so criminal. So I battled the labels, powerlessness and poverty. I rose and stood in the face of the enormous inertia of a paranoid society. Its tenets of hate and ignorance illuminated against the light of truth. Replacing its fruits with self-acceptance, empowerment and spiritual wealth. Edward Thomas |
